Just this sunday was the final day of Broom Cupboard Studios’ 1-year long residency.
Woof.
Woof!
Bark.
While it’s been a long year, filled with 6 crazy, awesome, wholly different projects - it’s also gone by in a blur.
So, in order to give it a little clarity and actually remember all the things we did, each member of the team will be making a post this final week, talking about what their highlights were, and what they’ll be moving on to next!
Also, during our final day, we had a big celebration! We ate a bunch of Taste of India (Broom Cupboard’s go-to lunch), played some story-based Telestrations… and even turned one into a twine! You can play our beautiful, final, one-hour storybook animation game here online!
It features a banana, radioactive waste, and apotheosis. Basically, it’s the next Adventure Time.
There was also a bunch of other festivities! Amanda Nelson baked gorgeous/delicious/gorglicious cupcakes with icing of each of our projects (see if you can spot which one is which)… I handed out sticker sheets and blankets with Amanda Cook’s gorgeous EggToast carpet design for WAFA… we watched Howl’s Moving Castle and The Little Mermaid and ate a bunch of Zeeks Pizza… Good People, Good Food, Good Stories.
That’s the Broom Cupboard way!
Please check in this week to read up on all the team’s retrospectives for the past year. And thanks so much for reading, for following along, and for all y’alls lovely lovely support! <3
